is there anyone who can walk with you, or someone who can talk to you on the phone while you walk? i know it can feel like making something out of nothing and you don't want to be a bother, but it's better to be a bother and feel supported by a simple act than to carry that fear alone
thank you anon maybe i'll call someone because i shouldn't feel this anxious. i tried to listen to music so he'd leave me alone but he wouldn't stop and kept moving in front of me so i couldn't walk and touching me
being on the phone with someone means there's a second witness to confirm and validate your experience, and can reach out to external help if necessary – like calling the police (ACAB but also there isn't another resource we can call in situations like this so we do what we can)
unfortunately it sounds like your harasser may not respect even clear communication from you, especially if they touched you, so having a second party who can support you is probably necessary. and hopefully, fingers crossed, it was a one-time event, and they won't be there again today.
is it possible at all to change what public transit you take? a different bus stop or subway station that lets you come from a different direction? if you're feeling anxious, that's your instincts telling you something is wrong, so taking steps to quell that feeling are totally justified – even if you have to walk a little bit further, if the walk is more comfortable
