i've been getting into the sims and it's a great escape

do you still have to have a nicer computer to make it play seamlessly?

i'm playing on a macbook from 2019, with almost all of the packs (bought on sale over the last 6 years), and it runs okay as long as i don't have something else hefty open like photoshop. but i'm able to switch between the sims, discord and chrome easily without lag

but i also don't really use much in the way of mods or cc, mostly just skin default replacements

considering trying the base game again because the last one i had was sims 2, so i would avoid cc and mods too for now just to see what my computer can handle

the base game is free! so you can try it without spending money and then look into adding a few things that interest you – there's usually a sale, like right now

what have been your favorite expansions as far as overall experience?
